"You're the Most Beautiful, Walk with Light" —Supporting healthy growth for children

A country's strength lies in the strength of its youth, and a nation's future is promising only when its youth has a bright future. In recent years, the increasing prevalence of myopia among young people, with its early onset and severe impact, has raised serious concerns for their physical and mental health. General Secretary Xi Jinping has emphasized that " the entire society must take action to jointly protect children's vision and ensure they have a bright future".

In 2023, Sinopec made great efforts to promote the "Protect Vision from Childhood" program and launched the innovative "You're the Most Beautiful, Walk with Light" Eye Care Campaign for Children in primary schools across Bayingolin, Xinjiang, Jincheng, Shanxi, and Shaoguan, Guangdong. The program included eye health lectures, prize quizzes, souvenir distributions, and poster exhibitions to promote eye health awareness and contribute to children's healthy growth through practical measures.

Science education lectures for children's vision protection

In July 2023, Sinopec extended its Health Express program to schools for the first time and joined hands with the Second Primary School of Korla City in Bayingolin, Xinjiang, to launch the "You're the Most Beautiful, Walk with Light" Eye Care Campaign for Children, bringing the warmth and care of this public welfare initiative to children. As part of the campaign, Sinopec invited Professor Chen, deputy director of the Ophthalmology Department at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital and Medical Director of the Sinopec Lifeline Express, to deliver a lecture covering topics such as the structure of the eye, causes of myopia, and techniques for vision protection. The hour-long session helped students gain a deeper understanding of eye care. During the prize quiz that followed, students reinforced key takeaways such as "keep your eyes one foot away from the book, your chest one fist away from the desk, and your fingers one inch away from the pen tip"and "avoid continuous reading or writing for more than 40 minutes".

In September, Sinopec visited Xinghe School in Jincheng, Shanxi, to hold the "Bright Future, Beautiful New Life" Eye Care Campaign for Children, extending its public welfare program to the school and providing care and support to the students. This was the first on-campus event in Shanxi since the launch of the Sinopec Lifeline Express marking a significant step in promoting youth wellbeing and giving back to society.

In December, the Company organized the "You're the Most Beautiful, Walk with Light" Eye Care Campaign for Children in Ruyuan County in Shaoguan, Guangdong, featuring educational displays, brochures, and public welfare classes to promote eye health among local students, supporting their vision and brightening their future through practical actions.
