Breakthroughs and
Commercialization

Oil and gas exploration and development technologies:  we advanced shale gas enrichment mechanisms and exploration technologies in complex tectonic zones, supporting the Fuling Gas Field as China's first shale gas field with proven reserves exceeding 1 trillion cubic meters. We developed a "Reservoir-Fracture-Stimulation" tri-element development system for continental rift basin shale oil, achieving production targets in demonstration areas one year ahead of schedule. We also pioneered the global application of a 5G-enabled intelligent node acquisition and monitoring system in geophysical exploration.

Refining technologies:  we made breakthroughs in fluidized-solid bed residue hydroprocessing and heavy oil catalytic cracking, supporting the completion of Zhenhai's 40-million-tonne refining and chemical base. We commercialized LCO hydrocracking and aromatic extraction catalysts to produce BTX, advancing the "reducing fuel, increasing chemicals" strategy. We also developed high-performance data center cooling fluids for state-owned enterprise demonstration projects.

Petrochemical technologies:  we commissioned the world's first industrial plant for cyclohexene esterification hydrogenation to produce cyclohexanone, facilitating the development of caprolactam industry. We achieved industry-scale conversion of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and linear alpha-olefin (LAO) technologies. The Tianjin Nangang Ethylene and Downstream High-End New Materials Cluster Project started up successfully. In addition, we completed trial runs at BRICI's Tianjin Scientific Base Phase I, marking a milestone in large-scale pilot facility development.

Smart technologies:  we built China's first digital twin-enabled smart ethylene plant to accelerate petrochemical digitization. We also developed the country's first explosion-proof AI-powered autonomous refueling robot and deployed next-gen AI-enabled gas stations in Hunan and Anhui.
