In 2024, Sinopec processed 252 million tonnes of crude oil and produced 153 million tonnes of refined oil products.

Sinopec strengthened the collaborative optimization of the industrial chain.  By dynamically adjusting the regional crude oil processing layout, we gave priority to regions with low costs and high benefits, beefed up the coordination between refining and sales and precisely matched the market demand, and implemented the supply strategies for gasoline and diesel. We drove the integrated operation of refining and chemical production, optimized the yield of chemical light feedstock and its structure, and increased production to ensure supply.

We expedited special products marketing.  The brand advantages of "Donghai" asphalt and "Great Wall" lubricants continue to expand. The technical platform for the industrial chain of high-end petroleum-based carbon materials was established and the large-scale production of bio-aviation kerosene exceeded targets. Additionally, breakthroughs were made in key projects like the INA plant in Maoming and the special oil products technology in Jingmen.

Substantial progress was made in transformation and upgrading.  The 11-million-tonne/year refining project of ZRCC was completed. The structural adjustment projects of Yangzi Petrochemical and Sinopec-SK Petrochemical were successively implemented, and a number of crude to chemicals and crude to specialty projects were steadily developed.

Meanwhile, we also consolidated the foundation for green development,  carried out the rectification requirements of environmental protection inspections with high standards, established an intelligent data system for the refining business, accelerated the implementation of application scenarios of advanced control systems, and propelled the deep transformation of production and operation towards digitization and green growth.
