In 2024, in domestic market, 1,551 projects of various types including design, consulting, PMC, EPC, and construction were executed, 947 projects started, and 610 projects achieved mechanical completion.

The capability of engineering services was further reinforced.

Serving the national strategies, we leveraged the advantages of consortium and integration, constructed a number of industry benchmark projects with high standards, high quality and high efficiency. The Yizheng 3-million-tonne/year PTA plant, the largest single-unit production capacity in the world, was completed and put into operation, with an equipment self-sufficiency of 97.5%, leading to a demonstration for the development of the industry. The second phase of the ZRCC Base achieved full mechanical completion, creating multiple records such as the widest independent innovation application, the highest intelligence level and the best energy conservation and consumption reduction in domestic projects of the same scale. Projects such as TPCC Nangang Ethylene, Yangzi Refining Restructuring and QDRCC Maleic Anhydride were successfully commissioned, while MMPC POE and Hainan Refining and Chemical PBST projects were in the closing stages. We won 9 provincial and ministerial quality awards, 9 provincial and ministerial design awards, 9 national excellent welding engineering first prizes and 6 national QC team achievements. Special design optimization was carried out on a pilot basis for projects as the second phase of the ZRCC Base and MMPC POE, effectively improving design efficiency and rendering cost reduction and profit generation. Subcontracting management was strengthened, with the share of strategic subcontractors accounting for 54.9%, an increase of three percentage points, ensuring the priority of high-quality resources.

Scientific and technological innovation was continuously enhanced.

By strengthening the philosophy of "technology creating the markets" and "technology leading the markets", we integrated into the major innovation systems of China, and advanced major research tasks with high quality. The 31 national-level projects undertaken (including 5 "TECH 1025" projects), 33 "Ten Dragons" research projects, and 16 major Sinopec projects progressed smoothly. Regarding new energy and refining transformation and upgrading, projects such as Kuqa green hydrogen and R&D in Anqing Petrochemical RTC technology completed their research phases and entered the industrial deployment and application stage. As of chemicals and new materials, the pilot-scale key technology development of Yangzi Petrochemical's medical polyglycolic acid and the industrialization technology development of high-strength medium-modulus carbon fiber were successfully put into production. The key technology research and industrial application of the Zhongke Refinery and Petrochemical intelligent ethylene plant were completed and delivered. Regarding utility technologies, the membrane-based high-purity helium recovery technology was continuously improved, producing ultra-pure helium products with a purity of 99.9999% (6N), with its R&D completed and delivered for industrial application. We won 70 provincial, ministerial-level or higher awards. We kept sorting out the refining and petrochemical engineering technology chain/industrial chain, and released the Technology Chain and Industrial Chain (2nd Edition). Focusing on the four systems of design, construction, manufacturing and R&D, the integration of technical standards has been efficiently advanced, with a total of 85 new and revised standards issued throughout the year.

New vitality was stimulated through digital and intelligent transformation.

We adhered to the "domain lead responsibility system" and carried out the digital solution roll-out of "data + platform + applications", comprehensively moved ahead with the development of Apps for operation management, project management, and smart construction sites. Focusing on key links as data integration and business process standardization, we have continuously deepened the application of ERP, further enhancing data acquisition capabilities and comprehensive control capabilities. We organized and executed the digital pipeline network construction for 31 refining and petrochemical subsidiaries, accelerating the construction of intelligent operation and maintenance projects, leveraging the role of big data and technical experts, and making service scenarios closer to customer needs. Industrial Internet + equipment, domestic three-dimensional factory design software, and intelligent projects in the design and construction are being carried forward collaboratively, with simultaneous improvements in digital empowerment capabilities and support and safeguard. We actively pushed ahead with the research on Leading the New Industrialization of the Engineering Construction Industry, achieved phased results in standardized lean design, integrated collaboration, factory-based intelligent manufacturing, information-based management, digital delivery, intelligent operation and maintenance, and robot substitution. We intensified the transformation and application of research achievements in RCM, continuously advanced the R&D and application of construction technologies and efficient work tools as automatic welding robots and intelligent welding demonstration production lines, effectively reduced costs, and improved efficiency.
