Sinopec has achieved a significant breakthrough in Project Deep Earth — Sichuan and Chongqing Natural Gas Base. The discovery with newly proven geological reserves of 124.588 billion cubic meters of Sinopec Yongchuan field in the Sichuan Basin, marks another deep shale gas field in China with proven reserves exceeding 100 billion cubic meters. 

The Project Deep Earth-Sichuan and Chongqing Natural Gas Base is an important part of Sinopec Deep Earth Project. Over the years, Sinopec has been continuously making new breakthroughs in deep oil and gas exploration in the Sichuan Basin, providing clean energy for the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
