On July 10, China launched the Long March-10B carrier rocket from Hainan, successfully achieving its first controlled recovery of a carrier rocket's first stage. This marked the world’s first net-based recovery of a launch vehicle. The liquid methane fuel of the rocket was produced from LNG supplied by Sinopec. This represents Sinopec’s first application of clean energy in the aerospace sector, successfully achieving a monumental transition in the use of LNG from traditional sectors such as transport and industry to the aerospace sector, thereby expanding its industrial chain towards higher-end sectors.
