Sinopec put its first melt-blown fabric production line into operation at Yanshan factory in Beijing on March.6, to help relieve the shortage of mask material during the COVID-19 epidemic.
With 14,400-ton annual capacity, the Yanshan facility has two non-woven production lines and three spun-bond production lines, which can produce 4 tons of melt-blown fabric for 1.2 million N95 masks or 6 tons of fabric for 6 million surgical masks per day.
Sinopec, cooperating with Sinomach’s China Hi-Tech Group Corporation, only spent 12 days to set up the melt-blown fabric production line at Yanshan factory, with eight more under construction in Jiangsu province, expected to be put into operation in the middle of April.
