On May 7, Sinopec Nanjing Engineering Middle East Co., Ltd (SNEMEC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi Maharat Training Center. Two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in fields including HR development, technology upgrading and skills training, with a priority to build the first automatic welding training base and standard safety training center for Saudi Arabia.

Since 2020, the two sides have together created over 300 jobs for the Saudi youth and sent 33 trainees to China for technical training. Now they have become key staff in a number of projects. Since its entry in Saudi Arabia 20 years ago, SNEI (parent company) has participated in the construction of 76 major projects in the country, hiring more than 3,000 local people in total with local employees accounting for over 60% at some positions, making a remarkable contribution to local economic and social development.
