The 12th World Congress of Chemical Engineering, also the 21st Asian Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering Congress, (WCCE 12 & APCChE 2025) opened in Beijing on July 14. This is the first time that the WCCE and APCChE Congresses are jointly held in China. With the authorization of the World Chemical Engineering Council and the Asian Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering, the event is hosted by the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China in collaboration with CNPC, Sinopec and Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Nearly 5,000 representatives from 66 countries and regions attend this five-day conference for exchange of cutting-edge technologies and research achievements. On the opening day of the congress, the International Chemical Engineering Innovation Expo 2025 covering an area of more than 11,000 square meters was also held, with over 130 global enterprises and institutions including Sinopec participating in the exhibition.
