The Company has spared no effort in ensuring stable energy supply during the winter, proactively supported major national events and responded to emergencies and natural disasters, and actively engaged in public welfare and volunteer work. These practical efforts embody Sinopec's founding mission and deep sense of social responsibility, allowing it to make meaningful contributions to national priorities, significant societal events, and the well-being of the public.

Ensuring Stable Energy Supply During the Winter

Sinopec has put in place a three-tier energy supply assurance system encompassing the Company, headquarters departments, and affiliated enterprises, with clearly defined responsibilities at each level. It has made steady progress in gas field development, accelerated the expansion of geothermal capacity, and continuously enhanced the full value chain of natural gas production, supply, storage, and sales. These efforts have ensured practical support for a warm winter. Between November 1, 2024, and January 19, 2025, Sinopec supplied 14.12 billion cubic meters of natural gas, averaging 177 million cubic meters per day, successfully fulfilling its heating season supply commitments without any public safety incidents and effectively ensuring household gas supply.

Supporting Societal Events

Sinopec has steadfastly upheld its role as a primary energy provider with a strong sense of responsibility and execution capabilities. The Company has ensured stable energy supply for major events, including the 9th Asian Winter Games and the 12th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities of China. By planning ahead, allocating resources effectively, and coordinating closely with relevant departments, Sinopec has consistently delivered high-quality and efficient energy services.

Responding to Emergencies and Natural Disasters

Sinopec has responded promptly to natural disasters—earthquakes, floods, heavy rain, avalanches, and typhoons—by fully leveraging its resource allocation capabilities to mobilize emergency supplies and safeguard critical lifelines to support disaster relief and recovery efforts. In January 2024, the Company actively participated in avalanche rescue operations in Altay, Xinjiang, and provided earthquake relief in Uqturpan, Xinjiang. During Typhoons Yagi, Bebinca, and Pulasan in the summer and autumn of the same year, Sinopec quickly activated its emergency response mechanisms to ensure effective disaster prevention, relief efforts, and the swift resumption of production and operations.

Supporting Peak Agricultural Seasons

In line with General Secretary Xi Jinping's key directives on safeguarding national food security, Sinopec has fully leveraged its strengths in supplying refined oil, agricultural materials, and fertilizer raw materials to prioritize essential resources for agricultural production. By offering preferential supply services and high-quality value-added support, the Company has consistently worked to ensure stable supply, assist farmers, and benefit farmers and the broader rural communities. These efforts have played a key role in supporting agricultural activities during peak periods of harvest, planting, and crop management in summer and autumn, contributing to a successful harvest.

Promoting Public Legal Awareness

Sinopec has expanded the forms and channels of public legal education by deploying legal education specialists across its energy service stations nationwide, with a view to make legal knowledge more accessible in everyday settings and fostering a stronger rule-of-law culture. For 13 consecutive years, the Company has supported the China Legal Aid Foundation's "1+1" legal assistance volunteer program, providing legal aid and supporting the families of judicial and administrative martyrs in 21 counties and districts across 4 provinces and autonomous regions, including Shaanxi, Guangxi, Sichuan, and Ningxia.

Engaging in Volunteer Services

Upholding the spirit of volunteers featuring contribution, friendship, mutual support, and progress, Sinopec has issued the Notice on Further Strengthening and Standardizing Youth Volunteer Services, fostering the development of youth volunteer organizations, operational systems, and brand recognition. The Company has actively organized volunteer initiatives in areas such as elderly care, support for vulnerable groups, agricultural and farmer assistance, ecological protection, and science education, striving to enhance public well-being through concrete actions.

In 2024, Sinopec Northwest China Petroleum Bureau launched the "Red Scarf Learning Corner" volunteer program.
