The Sanyuesan Festival (the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month) is a traditional festival among the ethnic minorities of South China, including the She ethnic group. On this day, the She people in She Township of Fujian Province wear Phoenix costumes (the traditional attire of the She people), make embroidery lucky bags, and sing and dance to celebrate the festival.
They would also make sweet and crispy tiger eggs (fried boiled egg) and steamed Umi Rice (white glutinous rice and juice of Umi tree leaves), to add the festive atmosphere with the traditional food.
