On 4th November, Sinopec announced the signing of integrated cooperation agreements with QatarEnergy for the North Field South (NFS) project, which includes a 27-year long-term LNG SPA and a partnership agreement. QatarEnergy will supply 3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of LNG to Sinopec and transfer a 5% interest in a joint venture company (equivalent to 1.875% interest of the NFS project) to Sinopec. The collaboration on NFS project is the third long-term LNG SPA and the second integrated cooperation milestone between the two companies after NFE project.
