Recently, the China Certified Emission Reduction Scheme (CCER) was launched at  China Beijing Green Exchange. Sinopec Carbon Industry Technology Co., along with Unipec and Sinopec Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Company, were invited to participate in the first transaction of the trading activities. 

The CCER is another important scheme introduced by China, following China Carbon Emissions Trading Exchange (CCETE), to help achieve the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.

Sinopec is developing the entire carbon industrial value chain by stepping up technological development and unleashing the value of carbon assets. The company is poised to participate in global carbon trading in Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and other regions.
